On 2 July 2024, Derick le Roux was appointed as the new chairman of the board of NN CDC Pensioenfonds. He is succeeding André Hollenkamp, who had been the board's chairman for the past 10 years.
What professional experience does Derick bring as a chairman?
Derick is highly experienced in fiduciary management. He also has excellent management skills and leadership qualities, making him very well suited to lead the pension fund at a time when a lot is changing due to new pension rules.
He is capable of identifying opportunities as well as potential threats that our pension fund could be faced with. Derick is decisive, empathetic and acts with integrity.
Goals and challenges
“As a member of the pension fund's board, my areas of focus were Asset & Liability Management and Finance & Risk for many years. But I'm also very interested in communications. For every decision that impacts pensions, I consider the implications for our participants and whether we can justify the decision. The year 2024 is going to be a pivotal year for the future of the pension fund, which is why it is our task to ensure we communicate timely and clearly on the changes that will affect the participants. What does this mean for current and future pensions? What actions can participants undertake? Where can they go if they have questions? As the new chairman of the pension fund, I want to take the lead in this process. I look forward to working closely with the board, the supervisory committee, the accountability board and our pension fund's team. I want to make every effort to foster the future of our fund in the interests of all participants.”
