FAQ retirement age 68
NN CDC Pensioenfonds has raised its standard retirement age from 67 to 68 with effect from 1 January 2020. That doesn’t mean you’ll need to continue working until you turn 68 – early retirement will still be allowed from the age of 60.
Does the pension fund decide my retirement date?
No, it's still up to you to decide when you want to start having your pension paid out by NN CDC Pensioenfonds. You may do this from the age of 60.
What would I give up if I decided to retire early?
The earlier you retire, the lower your pension benefits will be. That's because the pension fund would need to pay out your pension for more years while you’d have fewer working years to build up your pension.
Will my partner’s pension be affected by the new standard retirement age?
No, it will not be affected. The starting date of your partner’s pension is not linked to the standard retirement age, but is dependent on the date of your passing away.
I’m divorced. Will the new standard retirement age have implications for my ex-partner’s pension?
The portion of your old-age pension that you share with your ex-partner will be subject to the 68 standard retirement age with effect from 1 January 2020.
My retirement is due to start in 2020. How will the new standard retirement age affect me?
Please contact the Pension Desk if you have any questions.
Given that I’m retiring in 2020, the pension fund has sent me information regarding my pension options. What is set to change for me?
